Spay Lay Up
Spray Lay up is commonly referred to as "chopping" where a combination of resin and fiberglass ribbon are combined as they pass through a gun to create the structure of the part. Careful technique must be adhered to in order to create consistent thickness and strength integrity across each item. Our operators are some of the most experienced in the industry and play a large part in our high quality reputation.

Chopping
Our Chopping Operators are some of the most experienced in the industry and are constantly striving for perfection. Each part is evenly sprayed and verified with check gauges monitoring thickness during and after the chopping process. Our operators also have the benefit of using our new State-of the-Art Magnum Venus Products (MVP) Internal Mix Chopping System. Our new chop guns allow for high volume production up to 20 .lbs per minute and advanced valve
technology for quick changes from one application to another. This investment in our equipment allows us to handle your higher volume parts with great efficiency.
Bubble Busting
Bubble Busting is the process of hand rolling every inch of the part with a spiked roller to evenly saturate the chopped or hand laid material. This removes air pockets and excess resin from the item. Air pockets can create a number of defects in fiberglass production. ABL operators are trained through our quality system to continuously eliminate these potential hazards at every step in our manufacturing process.

Drying Process
At ABL Components we look at every aspect of the tool and part creation process including factoring in room atmospheres during drying time. We understand that depending on heat, cold, and humidity levels we will adjust our raw materials mixes and dry times so parts cure consistently.
